Quick review of previous week!!!
I just wanted to give some props to the places we went last week...
Bombay Grille - YUMMY, as always, veggie friendly *****
Buffalo Wild Wings Sardis - Great food, great service, as always, veggie friendly (and CAROLINA won!!!) ****
Jimmy Jon's - great food, fast delivery, veggie friendly ***
Whine Club - Book Club gets better every month!!! Thanks to Poodle for hosting this ***** night and we all give a THUMBS UP to "The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein
Sonoma's - food was good, menu unique, but overpriced with small portions, veggie friendly ***
Revolutions - freakin' AWESOME, but you must have a lot of Benjamin's to shop there...the old Rock n' Roll Emporium crowd will probably be disappointed, but f you like stores like BUCKLE where you can get pierced too...then this gig is for YOU!!!
Aria - stepped in and stepped out...no seating available, but willing to give it another shot :) *'s TBD
Molly McPhearson's Pub - has potential, but the crowd was small that night. I would definitely return. All food was good, waitress "Renee" rocked but tap beer was warm. If you have never heard of it, check it out...Scottish Pub, 3 levels, fireplace, live music and plenty to entertain (corn hole, darts, Foosball, etc, etc), veggie friendly ***
Penn Station - good as ever, so sad they closed Park Rd and that it isn't closer...they have such YUMMY fries ***
I don't have a lot of time, so I will attache links later, but check out my quickie reviews!!!
To be continued....Peace, Dara

Let's see what can I say about our book club....not only did I get invited by one of the nicest, bravest and sweetest women I have ever met (Shelby), but I immediately felt welcomed and accepted by all of the members at my very first meeting. After previewing this year's book list, I am genuinely excited to divulge each book, all of which are unique and totally different from each other. I loved "The Art of Racing in the Rain" and I just can't seem to put down "The Glass Castle" (despite my husband's whining to talk to him instead ;). I'm thrilled to get to know every one of the members better and grow deeper in our friendship inside and outside of book club. Thanks again to all of you for welcoming me so warmly and crystallizing my love of my new hometown - Charlotte!
Love,
Julie Brandt
