I am from 1975
from Morganton and Greensboro, truckers and Hams
I am from the stage clad in ballet slippers to the Om on the yoga mat
I am from the concentration camps to the British royalty
I am from the Lions and the Scotsmen from the Raiders and the Eagles who shaped and molded my mind
I am from the teacher and the businessman
from the use proper grammar winning spelling bees and the save your money! (which I still do not do)
I am from the Old Testament and the New, atheism and Buddha
From the Tara to Lynbridge, the White Oak to the Oakhurst
From the communities to the floor to the champion of animals
I am from pages and pages of books
Love and humanity,
Peace and kindness,
Joy and Sadness.
